Artist's Comments

What a horrifying moment it must have been for him when the mark burned signaling Voldemort's return. I wanted to show not so much the physical pain (he is tougher than wormtail) but the emotional pain. His whole jaded history flooding back to him, the knowledge that if he didn’t return to Voldemort, he would be hunted and murdered... what a terrible thing to have to face. By the way, that isn’t blood on his robes, I wanted to mark to sort of be glowing red.

That is breathtaking! I'll agree with perselus - the pose and the emotion is wonderful. You've captured twenty years of hope being broken by a simple mark in one drawing. Just gorgeous . . . :+fav:
